Filippos is the founder and lead teacher of Padma Shala. He created the studio in Katerini, Greece in 2013 with the aim to introduce others to the world of yoga.
His passion for physical activity in combination with his painful sports injuries led him to study the human body and movement at an academic level.
Filippos graduated from the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science in Serres, Greece in 2006. After that, he went on to obtain a Master’s Degree in Sports Training in 2009 from Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece.
His first training was in 2008 in Pilates where he completed a series of seminars as he was to undergo surgery and was looking for post-surgical rehabilitation exercises.
Yoga became the answer to his bodily and emotional pain and the major element which lights his journey in his personal growth. His knowledge and years of experience are what he wants to share with others passionates about yoga.
His passion and love for yoga sent him East. He has visited India seven times, his time spent there is in total more than a year in the country. Filippos is a certified yoga instructor with over 1800 continuous training hours (Yoga Alliance).
Additionally, he has taught in a variety of yoga programs throughout Greece and abroad. In 2016 he collaborated with Yogakioo -a yoga teacher training institute. The past three years he has travelled to India as an apprentice to his teacher, Parveen Nair.
Wanting to combine yoga with other philosophies and practices he studied Reiki, Sound Healing, Ayurveda Massage and Thai Yoga Massage.

Angeliki Vanessa was born and raised in Katerini, Greece. In 2013 she graduated from the Department of Agriculture majoring in “Food Science and Technology” at the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece. As a student, trying to improve her quality of life, she came upon yoga. Her daily practice led her to deepen her knowledge of yoga.
Her first trip to Mysore, India in 2014 allowed her to complete an intensive 500 Hrs Teacher Training Course (Hatha Yoga/ Vinyasa). The three month stay, was a potent motivator to change her mindset and continue learning.
Her second trip was to Northern India in 2016 in Dharamshala on the foothills of the Himalayan mountain range. There she participated in a 200 Hrs Teacher Training Course in Tribal Yoga.
Additionally, Angeliki Vanessa has attended a 95 Hrs Teacher Training Course on “Prenatal” and “Kids Yoga” , becoming a Certified Teacher (Flower Kids Yoga School) .
In 2017, she journeyed to India -her destination Rishikesh – and completed a 200 Hrs Teacher Training Course in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.
Then again, in 2018, she returned to Rishikesh to become a certified Teacher in Kundalini Yoga (200 Hrs Yoga Alliance).
Being a restless spirit, Angeliki Vanessa has attended seminars in Ayurveda and Ayurveda Nutrition & Cooking while in India.
Most recently she has become involved in Pranic Healing as well.
Finally in 2016, Angeliki Vanessa, was also trained in the Pilates Method completing the basic cycle of seminars in 2018 and continued her training in Pilates equipment (Reformer, Wunda Chair etc.)
